I am Jyrki Forsman and I live in Pyhtää Heinlahti with my wife Marita and our daughter Inka who was born in 2002. In our webpages we tell you about our hobbies that are related to dogs.

It all started in 1987 when I bought a rough collie female and began to think about what to do with it. Alise turned out to be an excellent tracking dog and she got the Finnish Working Champion title in 1991.

In addition to traditional working dog trials, I was also attracted by skijoring. I got a German shepherd male Tsirnikan Donner and he became an excellent sledge dog. We also got VK2 title in rapport trial and JK3 title in tracking.

When I got more and more interested in skijoring, it became obvious that I should get a German pointer. Janeter Octavius was my first short-haired German pointer male.

At the moment we have five dogs at home. Marita's collies "Usva", "Myytti" and "Femma", and my pointer Vesakon Harald "Hopo".

My pointer Andy, that passed away in summer 2010, turned out to be a very lucky incident when I got him at two years of age. Andy is also the reason why I got a hunting licence, bought a shotgun and started hunting trials and also hunting. So it can happen that you own a pointer for ten years until you get interested in the breed-specific trial! But I won't stop skiing either until someone has to carry me...

Welcome to our pages and I hope that you enjoy!
