News 2007 & 2008

2008-05-04 Ansa got her third 1st prize in tracking (elite class) yesterday at Miehikkälä tracking test and she is now Finnish Tracking Champion :o) Judge was Martti Hirvonen.

2008-03-19 Ansa got clear rounds in agility competitions 2008-02-03 at Purina-areena, Helsinki and 2008-03-15 at Kotka, and was transferred to MAXI 2-class! :)

2007-08-26 Yesterday we were in a group show at Mikkeli, where Kirsi Nieminen judged tollers. Ansa got VG (=Very good) and placed 2nd in her class.

2007-08-17 The Finnish toller specialty, Toller Show took place on August 11th at Riihimäki. This year it was a very interesting event, because 144 tollers entered! The day was sunny and very hot.

Puppies and juniors and the x-class were judged by Mrs. Elena Ruskovaara and other classes were judged by Mr. Paul Stanton, from Sweden. I was very busy whole day, as I had promised to show some of my friends dogs. Sancandy's Catarina, also known as "Martta" (owned by family Vellinki) went for 2nd in puppy bitches (7-9 months), got the hounour prize and excellent critique! INT & FIN & EST CH Nitric Duck Is My Drug "Jimi" (owned by Mika Leppinen) got EXC2 in champion class, and was placed right after the BOS of the show, gorgeous Allan, Siphra's Fire At Kitimat. "Jimi" and his children had a superb day, as Jimi's progeny class was chosen for BOB and BIS-1, congratulations to the owners!

Masi was shown in "class x", which is an unofficial class for tollers who can't participate in official shows because of some disqualificative fault, and Masi has been castrated five years ago, so he hasn't got normal testicles. There were altogether six x-males entered in the show and Elena Ruskovaara was very strickt with her opinions. Masi was showed to perfection (I must daresay ;-)) and was finally chosen for BOB-x with such an excellent critique that I'm very proud of my boy:

2007-07-05 Finally I managed to publish our website also in english, it really took some time ;-) Our dogs are enjoying the summer by swimming and doing long forest walks. We have planned to keep a little brake in training this month and will start at full speed in the beginning of August again. We have lots of plans for the autumn, some tracking tests, shows (TollerShow for Masi) and also agility competitions for Ansa. 2007-06-03 Blood tracking test again. This time we were in Valkeala, where Seppo Venäläinen was judging. Ansa did superb job and managed to get her 2^nd 1^st prize in winner class! Now we need just one 1^st prize so that Ansa will be qualified as Finnish tracking champion. Keep your fingers crossed! ;-)

2007-05-28 Blood tracking test in Iitti. Ansa got 3^rd prize in winner class. Judge was Leo Räsänen.

2007-05-20 Three agility tracks at Santalahden Suhinat-competition at Kotka. We got two results; 5,00 and 22,37. Judges Anne Savioja and Jarmo Jämsä.

2007-05-13 Hamina all breeds show, judge Branislav Rajic, Slovenia, Ansa EXC1 2nd Best bitch and RES-CC

2007-05-06 Blood tracking test in Miehikkälä. Ansa got 3^rd prize in winner class. Judge was Kati Huovila.

2007-04-21 We visited Sillamäe all-breeds dog show in Estonia. Ansa got VG1 (= Very Good), judge was Jevgeni Kuplyauskas from Russia. Wheaten terrier Maija aka FIN CH Musca-Rosán Matilda went for BOB and also got the CC, which made her also Estonian Champion. Congratulations for the owner-breeder Tarja at Musca-Rosán! :-) And thank you for the wonderful company!

2007-03-25 Second agility competition for me and Ansa, this time in Kouvola, and it went very well; we got our first clear round in maxi1-class! Judge was Pertti Siimes.

2007-03-03 Group show at Valkeala, Raimo Louhio judging. Ansa got VG (=Very good) and placed 3rd in competition class.
