MAKING OF 3RD. ALBUM -Documentary Part 3 - rhythm guitar
Third in turn was Taneli and his rhythm guitar tracks, which were captured to harddisk in mid June 2011 again at the main studio in Ruokolahti. The weather and emotions ran hot as hell.
MAKING OF 3RD. ALBUM -Documentary Part 2 - lead guitar
Second instrument we recorded was Jannes' guitar, which included riffing and a few solos. Now we moved to the band`s main studio in Ruokolahti, South Karelia, Finland. This is the documentary about those sessions.
MAKING OF 3RD. ALBUM -Documentary Part 1 - bass
In addition to the written studio diary we decided to also shoot some video about the recordings of the third album. First in turn was the bass, which was played and recorded on top of the demo tracks we had made earlier at Niko`s place in Lemi, south-east Finland.
VEDEN LOIHTU - musicvideo Spell of Water
This is our 2nd music video, and this time we decited to make a more traditional video by concentrating on the band playing. No fancy storyline here. The lyrics of the song is about a shaman summoning waves and rain, so that is the inspiration for the crazy shaman lurking and groaning in the forest. The camera used filmin this video was a cheap and crappy one, so the video quality isn`t perfect, but it was compensated with great enthusiasm!
VIdeo was filmed at the shore of Korpijärvi lake, Korpiselkä in northern Finnish Karelia during Ukon juhla midsummer feast 2009. The clips with Juha Jyrkäs as a shaman were filmed in July 2009 at the shore of Imatra rapid.
Assistant cameramen were Jukka Pelli and Nickolai Kuskov. Veden loihtu was edited by Janne Väätäinen.
KÖYRY-YÖ, JUHLAYÖ - musicvideo Köyry Night, Holy Night
1st. ever video of Auringon hauta, made as an art school project in March and April 2008. Video focuses on a young family, who`s preparing to celebrate Köyry. Köyry, Keyri or Kekri was the celebration for turn of the harvesting year, and therefore the most important holiday of the year. At Köyry night, people of the dead could walk among the living, so in the video the family is preparing wood for their dead relatives, who come to visit them at Köyry night. Many traditions of Köyry were transformed to the modern christmas, so that`s why the song name is a play with a well known christmas song.
Video was shot in a old house in Simpele, Southern Finnish Karelia. We had a very tight schedule, because we could shoot only at dark, so therefore band shots were edited from only 4 takes! The music track on this video is a rawmix and unmastered version of the song, because the video had to be finished already in spring 2008 as school diploma.
Big thanks goes to Jussi Sinkkonen, who worked as second cameraman, and co-director.
